Internet Society New Mexico Chapter
The New Mexico Chapter of the Internet Society brings to the U.S. Southwest the mission of the Internet Society, which was founded in 1992 by Internet pioneers to promote the open development, evolution, and use of the Internet for the benefit of all people throughout the world.
With offices in Washington D.C., the U.S., and Geneva, Switzerland, the Internet Society provides leadership in Internet related standards, the development of community networks, education, and policy.
Founded jointly by Santa Fe-based the Community Learning Network ~ New Mexico TechWorks, and 66+Co, which has worked with the Internet Society since 2012, the New Mexico Chapter was officially recognized by the global organization in July 2017.
